History
1945
In 1945, the methodological center was granted the status of a regional institute for teacher professional development
1948
In accordance with a resolution adopted in March 1948 by the South Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the Communist Party, the Abai South Kazakhstan Regional Institute for Teacher Advanced Training was established under the South Kazakhstan Regional Department of Public Education
1991
In 1991, a regional training and methodological office was established and subsequently renamed the Institute for Professional Development and Retraining of Teaching Staff
1999
In 1999, based on Resolution No. 389 of the Akim of the South Kazakhstan Region dated December 21, 1998, and Order No. 11947-1958mk of the Regional Department of Education dated January 19, 1999, the institute was reorganized into a Regional Institute of Continuing Education
2000
The Regional Pedagogical Museum was opened
2012
In accordance with Resolution No. 232 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 17, 2012, the Joint Stock Company “National Center for Professional Development ‘Orleu’” was established. The Institute for Advanced Training of Pedagogical Workers of the South Kazakhstan Region was registered with the Regional Department of Justice on October 2, 2012, and renamed Branch of the Joint-Stock Company “National Center for Professional Development ‘Orleu’ – Institute for Advanced Training of Pedagogical Workers of the South Kazakhstan Region”
2016
The institute held the scientific and practical conference “Teachers’ Professional Competence in Developing Students’ Functional Literacy in a Multilingual Education Environment”, in partnership with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)
2018
The regional competition “Best Robotics Project – 2018” was held.
International Scientific and Practical Conference “Experience and Practices of Teaching Robotics in Schools.”
2020
Branch trainers created 636 video lessons in general secondary education subjects for the educational channel “Orleu”.
Republican online conference on the topic “Aspects of Psychological Services in Educational Organizations: Experience and Achievements.”
2021
A republican online scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “PISA as a Key Indicator of the National Education System.”
