History

1951 год

On the basis of Order No. 84 of the Ministry of Education of the Kazakh SSR dated March 15, 1951, the Almaty Regional Institute for the Improvement of Education was established on the basis of republican, regional, and city methodological offices.

1950-1960 годы

During the 1950s–1960s, special attention was paid to teaching and educational work in Kazakh-language schools. Priority areas included the spiritual development of schoolchildren and their involvement in educational and production activities. During these years, lectures at teacher professional development courses were regularly delivered by textbook authors and well-known scholars T. Tazhibayev, A. Sembaev, S. Kirabayev, T. Akchulakov, and K. Zharykbayev.

 

 

 

1970-1980 годы

During the 1970s–1980s, efforts were organized to improve teachers’ methodological training and professional mastery, particularly in the education of six-year-old children.

1990-1992 годы

From 1990, close cooperation was established with the Y. Altynsarin Pedagogical Research Institute. In 1991, in cooperation with Belarus, Latvia, and the Republic of Lithuania, a program was developed and courses on “Adamtanu” were conducted. In 1992, the Institute for the Improvement of Teachers was transformed into the Almaty Regional Institute for Professional Development of Specialists.

2000-2001 годы

In 2000, professional development courses were actively organized on issues related to rural schools, the transition to a 12-year education system, preparation for the Unified National Testing, and profile and pre-profile education of schoolchildren. In 2001, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Institute, the regional teachers’ competition “Zhyzden-zhuyrik” was held.

2007 год

In 2007, experimental and practical work on the topic “Organization of Activities of Individuals in Results-Oriented Education” was conducted in six schools of the region.

2009 год

In 2009, experience exchange activities were carried out with teachers from the cities of Samara and Otradny. Active cooperation began with Kurgan University (Russia), Yerevan (Armenia), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), the UNESCO Educational Cluster Bureau, UNICEF, and the British Council of the Embassy of the United Kingdom on key issues of professional development.

2010-2012 годы

On October 15, 2010, in order to implement the cultural program “Trinity of Languages,” the regional competition “Best Teacher of Language Disciplines” was held. In 2012, experimental work was carried out in 11 schools of the region on the topic “Formation of Creative Activity of Teachers and Students in Results-Oriented Learning Conditions.”

2012 год

On the basis of Resolution No. 232 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 17, 2012, the Institute was transferred from communal ownership to republican ownership and became a branch of the newly established Joint Stock Company “National Center for Professional Development ‘Orleu’” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the name “Institute for Advanced Training of Teaching Staff of Almaty Region.”

2013-2015 годы

In 2013, 14 employees of the Institute upgraded their qualifications in innovative teaching technologies in England, France, Finland, Singapore, South Korea, Korea, Australia, and Russia. In 2014, “Institute Days” were held in all 16 districts and the cities of Taldykorgan, Tekeli, and Kapshagay to provide methodological support to teachers of the region. In 2015, testing was conducted on Google platforms to study the quality of education. Competitions “Best Lesson” and “Best Video Lesson” were also held that year.

2016-2018 годы

In 2016, courses under the updated content of the education program began. From 2016 to 2021, 26,790 teachers completed courses within this program. On November 21–22, 2017, the International scientific and methodological conference “Innovations in Education and Science” was held. On November 22–23, 2018, the International scientific and methodological conference “Education and Innovations in Science” took place.

2019-2021 годы

In 2019, the International scientific and methodological conference on the topic “New Challenges: Innovations in Education and Science” was held. In 2020, original programs and video lessons for distance learning were developed. In June 2021, the Republican scientific and methodological conference “Priority of Spiritual and Moral Education in Solving Global Problems of the World” was held.
