History
1973
Established as the Mangyshlak Regional Institute for the Advanced Training of Teachers
1988
In August 1988, due to the dissolution of Mangystau Region, the Regional Institute for the Advanced Training of Teachers was closed. As a result, the Institute’s activities were suspended until 1991. In its place, the Shevchenko City Center for Teacher Professional Development was established.
2006
The organization was renamed the Mangystau Regional Institute for Advanced Training of Education Workers.
In September 2006, the “Teachers’ House” was opened under the Institute (47 Building, 13th Microdistrict, Aktau — former kindergarten building)
2007
Project by I.T. Dzhumagalieva and V.I. Tokareva: “Results-Oriented School: Enhancing the Role of New Technologies in the Education System for the Development of Personal Competencies.”
2008
Pursuant to Order No. 85 of the Regional Department of Education dated April 2, 2008, on the implementation of the innovative pedagogical technology “Results-Oriented School,” based on the project “Results-Oriented School: Enhancing the Role of New Technologies in the Education System for the Development of Personal Competencies,” an experimental platform was introduced in 17 schools
2012
In October 2012, in accordance with Resolution No. 232 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 17, 2012, on the establishment of the Joint-Stock Company “National Center for Professional Development “Orleu” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Regional Institute for Advanced Training was reorganized into a branch of JSC “NCPD “Orleu” – the Institute for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of the Mangystau Region
