History
1937
A methodological office was established under the Kostanay Regional Department of Education
1942
The first “Faculty for the Improvement of Teachers” was established at the Kostanay Teachers’ Institute, organizing lectures on pedagogy and psychology and seminars for school principals and vice principals on various issues of pedagogy
1948
The methodological office was reorganized into the Institute for the Improvement of Teachers
1963
Work with base schools was intensified
1986
The sanatorium-preventorium “Rodnik” with a capacity of 100 places was opened for participants of courses of the Regional Institute for the Improvement of Teachers
1996
The Regional Institute for the Improvement of Teachers was renamed the Institute for Advanced Training of Education Workers
1998
The Institute for Advanced Training of Education Workers was renamed the State Communal Treasury Enterprise (SCTE) “Kostanay Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Pedagogical Personnel”
2004
The first periodical publication of the institute began to be issued – the scientific and methodological bulletin “Bilim-info”
2013
The traditional international scientific and practical conference on polyethnic culture and the Republican Forum of Teachers “Zharkyn beles” was launched
2014
The activities of the branch were awarded by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. The scientific and methodological journal “Vestnik ‘Orleu’-kst” received an RSCI impact factor
2015
The branch hosted the International scientific and practical conference “Advanced Training of Pedagogical Workers: State, Experience, Prospects”, the Republican scientific and practical conference “School of the 21st Century Through the Eyes of a Young Teacher”, and the Regional scientific and practical conference “Teacher’s Career: Professionalism and Leadership”
2017
The scientific and methodological journal “Vestnik ‘Orleu’-kst” was renamed “Pedagogical Science and Practice”
