The staff of the institute consisted of 12 people; departments of secondary school and primary school operated. The institute was provided with three rooms in House No. 3 on Kazakh Street (now M. Auezov Street), built in 1928.
1963-1964
In the 1963–1964 academic year, the institute mainly implemented advanced pedagogical experience into school practice, applied new forms and effective teaching methods in educational work; the experience of teachers from Rostov, Voronezh, and Lipetsk was disseminated to schools of the region, and teachers’ professional skills were improved
1984
In 1984, the school reform “Improvement of the Content of Education in General Education Schools and Vocational Education Schools” was launched. Within this reform, primary school was renamed a three-year school, the eight-year school was transformed into an incomplete nine-year school, and the ten-year school into an eleven-year school
1991-1992
From the 1991–1992 academic year, the staff of the institute began to study ways of wide implementation of the “Basic Principles of Folk Pedagogy” in educational work
2000
In 2000, due to the expansion of the institute’s scope of activities, the Regional Institute for the Improvement of Teachers, which had previously been under the jurisdiction of the regional education department, was transferred to the jurisdiction of the regional akim and transformed into the “Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Akim of the Region”. The institute, where only teachers had previously improved their knowledge, became a center of multidisciplinary education
